Mr Debashis Ghosh is one of the UK's most distinguished breast and oncoplastic surgeons, recognised internationally as a leader in breast cancer treatment, reconstruction, and oncoplastic surgery. Dual-qualified by the European Board of Surgery in both Breast Surgery and Surgical Oncology - a distinction held by very few surgeons in Britain - he brings a rare combination of oncological precision and surgical artistry to every patient he sees.
Founder and Lead Surgeon at Harley Street Breast Centre, Mr Ghosh was formerly Clinical Director of Breast Services for NHS England (NCL Cancer Alliance). Mr Ghosh is not only a practitioner but an active researcher at the frontier of his field. He pioneered the use of the portable gamma camera for sentinel node biopsy in the UK - a technique that improves surgical accuracy and reduces complications.
He is currently involved in clinical trials exploring fluorescence-guided cancer surgery, intraoperative radiotherapy (a full course of targeted radiation delivered in a single session during surgery), seed localisation, and radioactive iodine techniques.

He is a published co-author of the breast and oncoplastic surgery chapter in Kirk's Operative Surgery - the definitive surgical textbook - and regularly presents his research at international conferences.
