Walk five minutes from Euston to Euston Square, then take the Circle, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan line one stop west to Great Portland Street. From there it is a five to seven minute walk across Portland Place. Door to door, allow fifteen to eighteen minutes.
Euston is the awkward one. Its own Underground station sits on the Northern and Victoria lines, neither of which goes anywhere useful for Harley Street, while the line you actually want runs from Euston Square, a separate station five minutes away on foot. Once you know that, the journey is short.

Leave Euston by the main entrance onto Euston Road and turn right, heading west. Euston Square station is about five minutes along on the same side. Do not go down into Euston’s own Underground station — it does not serve the line you need.
Take the Circle, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan line westbound. Great Portland Street is the very next stop, around two minutes. All three lines share the platform, so take whichever comes first.
Leave the station, cross Portland Place and continue into Devonshire Street. Harley Street is the next junction, with the clinic on your left. Allow five to seven minutes.
Very often, yes. The whole walk is about a mile, west along Euston Road, continuing onto Marylebone Road, then left down Harley Street. It takes eighteen to twenty-two minutes, which is barely slower than the tube once you account for the walk to Euston Square, the wait on the platform and the walk at the other end.
The trade-off is the road. Euston Road carries heavy traffic and the pavements narrow in places around the Warren Street junction. A quieter alternative cuts south into Fitzrovia after Warren Street and comes up Great Portland Street, adding two or three minutes for considerably less noise.
On accessibility, Euston mainline is step-free and has taxi access at the front of the station, but neither Euston Square nor Great Portland Street should be assumed step-free from street to train. If step-free travel matters, the taxi is the reliable choice for this particular journey — it is a short fare.
It is about a mile west and a cab takes eight to twelve minutes for a small fare. Euston is unusual among London termini in having its taxi rank below the concourse, reached by lift or escalator from the arrivals area rather than out on the street.
Follow signs for taxis down from the main concourse rather than looking for a rank outside. In wet weather this is a genuine advantage: you board under cover. The disadvantage is a queue that backs up after each Manchester or Birmingham arrival, so allow five minutes for it.
Euston Road and Marylebone Road are the direct route but heavily congested in both peaks. Coming down the A5 and Park Road past Regent’s Park avoids the worst of it and enters the Congestion Charge zone only for the final stretch.
Q-Park Harley Street at Queen Anne Mews, W1G 9HF is seven minutes on foot and open 24 hours, with a 1.82 metre height limit. Marylebone also has metered on-street bays, but they are time-limited and turnover in the medical district is heavy, so a car park is the safer plan for a ninety-minute appointment.
Euston is the London terminus for services from Milton Keynes, Northampton, Birmingham, Crewe, Liverpool, Manchester, Preston, Lancaster, Carlisle and Glasgow, plus the Caledonian Sleeper. A morning departure from any of them leaves ample room for a late-morning or afternoon appointment and a return the same day, which is why many of our patients from the North West and the Midlands come this way.

The Caledonian Sleeper is worth a mention for Scottish patients. It arrives into Euston early in the morning, which means a first-appointment slot is achievable without spending a night in a hotel, and you can be on an afternoon train home. Lounge access at Euston lets you freshen up before you come over.
Bring copies of previous mammograms, ultrasound reports or pathology if you have had imaging locally, ideally on a disc or USB stick. Requesting records from a trust in Manchester or Glasgow takes days, so start that before you book the train. If surgery is recommended, it takes place at a partner private hospital and your consultant will discuss which one and how long to plan to stay in London.
From Euston, aim for Great Portland Street via Euston Square, or simply walk the mile west — the clinic is at the northern end of Harley Street, just south of Marylebone Road.
