Take the Circle, Hammersmith & City or Metropolitan line westbound directly to Great Portland Street, six stops and about fourteen minutes with no change, then walk five to seven minutes across Portland Place. Door to door, allow twenty to twenty-five minutes.
Liverpool Street offers a rare thing for this clinic: a single line that runs from your platform to the station nearest our door, no change at all. The Elizabeth line is faster on paper but leaves you a fifteen minute walk away, so the direct route usually wins on total time and on comfort.

From the mainline concourse or the Stansted Express platforms, follow signs for the Underground and then for the Circle, Hammersmith & City and Metropolitan lines, westbound. They share a platform, so take whichever service is displayed first — Metropolitan trains are usually the quickest because they skip fewer stops on this stretch.
The train runs Moorgate, Barbican, Farringdon, King’s Cross St Pancras, Euston Square, then Great Portland Street. Fourteen minutes, no change. Sit towards the front of the train: the exit at Great Portland Street is at that end.
Come out onto the Marylebone Road side, turn right and walk two minutes to the Portland Place crossing, then west into Devonshire Street. Harley Street is the second turning and number 146 is on the corner block. Five to seven minutes in total.
The Elizabeth line is genuinely quick from Liverpool Street: Farringdon, Tottenham Court Road, then Bond Street in around seven minutes. The catch is the far end. Bond Street is roughly fifteen minutes on foot from the clinic, up Marylebone Lane and Marylebone High Street, so the time you gain underground you hand back on the pavement.
It earns its place in one situation: if you are already aboard an Elizabeth line service from Shenfield, Romford or Stratford, staying on the same train to Bond Street saves you an interchange entirely. Coming off a Greater Anglia or Stansted Express service, the subsurface platforms are closer to where you arrive anyway.
For accessibility, Liverpool Street is well provided: lifts serve both the Elizabeth line and the subsurface platforms. The weak link is the destination end rather than the origin. Great Portland Street and Bond Street should not be assumed step-free all the way to street level, so if you are travelling with a wheelchair or a pushchair, plan on finishing by taxi from the terminus and check the current step-free guide before you set out.
The clinic is about three and a half miles west, and this is the one journey on which we would steer you away from a taxi. Holborn, New Oxford Street and Oxford Street are slow for most of the working day, and a twenty-minute estimate routinely becomes thirty-five.
A direct fourteen-minute run on the Metropolitan line beats a taxi across the City and the West End on almost any weekday. If your appointment time is fixed, the tube is the low-variance choice, and the walk at the far end is only five to seven minutes.
Come north out of the City and take the Euston Road corridor west rather than cutting through the West End. It looks longer and is usually faster. Both ends of the journey sit inside the Congestion Charge zone.
Q-Park Harley Street at Queen Anne Mews, W1G 9HF is the nearest underground car park, open 24 hours and seven minutes on foot, with a 1.82 metre height limit. Note that City workers driving in should check whether their appointment falls inside Congestion Charge hours before deciding to bring the car at all.
Greater Anglia services from Norwich, Ipswich, Colchester, Chelmsford and Southend arrive into Liverpool Street, the Stansted Express runs in from the airport in around forty-seven minutes, and the Elizabeth line brings patients from Shenfield, Romford and Stratford. All of them are within half an hour of our door once they reach the terminus.
It is also the most convenient station for patients who work in the City and would rather not take a whole day out. The clinic is open Monday to Friday from 08:00 to 20:00, so an early or late slot means a round trip of a little over two hours from a desk in EC2. Those are the appointments that fill first, so book further ahead than you would for a mid-morning slot.

Most assessments run sixty to ninety minutes from arrival, and the results conversation is the part people most often underestimate — do not schedule a meeting immediately afterwards.
Bring copies of previous mammograms, ultrasound reports or pathology if you have had imaging in Essex, Suffolk or Norfolk, ideally on a disc or USB stick. If surgery is recommended it takes place at a partner private hospital rather than at 146 Harley Street, and your consultant will confirm which one.
From Liverpool Street the Metropolitan line runs straight through to Great Portland Street, five to seven minutes on foot from the clinic at the northern end of Harley Street.
